Our clinic blends chiropractic care, corrective exercise, kinesiology, and soft tissue therapy to provide comprehensive support for injury recovery and long-term wellness. We work with athletes, desk workers, seniors, and anyone looking to reduce pain, improve posture, or regain confidence in their movement.
Our approach is hands-on, detailed, and focused on resolving the root cause of discomfort!
Dr. Gene Serafim is a chiropractor and kinesiologist who believes people heal best when care is personal, thoughtful, and rooted in how their body truly moves. With training alongside both chiropractors and physical therapists, he brings a well-rounded perspective to evaluation and treatment. He focuses on understanding each patient’s unique movement patterns and uncovering the real reasons behind pain, stiffness, or recurring injuries.
His treatment style blends chiropractic adjustments, muscle activation work, mobility techniques, and corrective exercises to create customized care plans for every individual. He uses a variety of soft tissue methods, both with and without tools, and is certified in ConnectX, a Graston-like technique designed to improve tissue health and reduce pain. He often incorporates trigger point therapy and specialized stretching techniques that help restore mobility in a gentle, effective way.
Patients describe Dr. Serafim as kind, attentive, and patient-focused. He takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure each person feels comfortable and informed throughout their care. He works with people dealing with back and neck pain, shoulder and hip issues, sciatica, postural strain, athletic injuries, and chronic movement limitations. His goal is simple: to help every patient feel stronger, more mobile, and more confident in their body.
EDUCATION
Dr. Serafim holds several degrees including a Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College (1998), a masters in Anatomy and physiology instruction from Northeast College of Health Sciences (2019) and a Bachelors degree in Applied Human Anatomy (1994).
CERTIFICATION
Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (DACRB)
Dr. Serafim is one of only a few hundred chiropractors in the country to hold the DACRB credential, a distinction that recognizes advanced expertise in chiropractic rehabilitation. This certification reflects specialized training in functional movement, injury recovery, and evidence-based rehab techniques. His education comes directly from leading researchers and clinicians across both chiropractic and physical therapy, allowing him to blend the strengths of both fields into a more comprehensive and effective approach to care.
Functional Movement Systems I & II (FMS I & II)
Dr. Serafim is also trained in Functional Movement Systems, a modern approach to physical medicine that evaluates how the body moves as a whole. Movement analysis reveals patterns and imbalances that traditional exams often miss, helping explain the root causes of many pain and mobility problems. These insights guide both treatment and the self-care strategies patients use to stay healthy and pain-free long after their sessions.
